Terms of Service

Last updated: October 20, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and TranscribeNest ("we", "us") for your use of transcribenest.com and its services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

TranscribeNest turns audio and video recordings into text using automatic speech recognition, and lets you read, search and export the result. Current features and limits are described on the Pricing page.

2. Your account

  • You need an email address you control, or a Google account, to sign in.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
  • An account is for one person.
  • You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to the recordings you upload and to your transcripts. You give us a limited permission to store and process them only to provide the Service to you, including passing them to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We don't use your content to train AI models.

4. Acceptable use

When you use the Service, you agree:

  • to upload only recordings you have the right to use and, where the law requires it, that you have the consent of the people recorded;
  • not to upload unlawful content or use the Service to violate anyone's rights;
  • not to disrupt or overload the Service, access it by automated means other than through the website, or try to get around its limits (for example by creating several accounts or using temporary email addresses to get more free usage);
  • not to reverse engineer the Service or resell access to it.

5. Accuracy of transcripts

Transcripts are produced automatically and may contain errors, especially with names, technical terms, accents, background noise or overlapping speakers. Review transcripts before relying on them, particularly for legal, medical, financial or other important purposes.

6. Plans and payment

  • Free plan: up to 3 files per day, each up to 30 minutes. For longer files, the first 30 minutes are transcribed as a free preview. We may change the free plan's limits.
  • Pay-as-you-go hours: a one-time purchase. Hours don't expire while your account exists and are used according to the length of the audio. Hours used by a transcription that fails are returned automatically. Hours have no cash value, can't be transferred and are forfeited if you delete your account.
  • Unlimited: a subscription billed in advance every month or year that renews automatically until you cancel. It is subject to fair use of 100 hours of audio per 30 days; beyond that, we may limit further transcription until the next period.
  • Prices are in US dollars, and taxes may be added depending on where you live. Payments are processed by Stripe; depending on your location, Stripe may act as the reseller and merchant of record for your purchase, in which case Stripe's terms also apply.
  • If we change the price of a subscription, we'll tell you before your next renewal, and the new price applies from that renewal.

7. Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel a subscription at any time from your Account page. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • All payments are final and non-refundable, including partial subscription periods and unused hours, except where a refund is required by law.
  • If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days of the charge and we'll look into it.

8. Availability and changes

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where practical. If we close your account because you broke these terms, you won't receive a refund.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by contract under the law where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we update the date at the top; for significant changes, we'll let you know by email or with a notice on the site before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
